The 1977 Silver Jubilee Scrap Books
In June 2011, two Scrap Books from the Silver Jubilee year of 1977 were re-discovered and have proved to be a wonderful record of that special year in the United Kingdom when we celebrated Queen Elizabeth II reign of 25 years.
Many of these scrapbooks were sold that year and subsequently filled with memorabilia of the time.
These two High Wych books offer us an insight into how the village joined in the national celebrations of 1977.
On display here are a few extracts and photographs from some of the pages that are relevant to the Memorial Hall that year.
